THE “YALOVA PONUDA” HOLIDAY
The “Yalova Ponuda” holiday in the village of Gostilitsa is organized by amateur performers from the local cultural community center a day after St. Tryphon’s Day (most often celebrated on the 14th of February). Traditions dictate that on the day after the men’s holiday, the “infertile” women should gather and play around the village. As soon as they meet a man, they should pick him up, while he must pay back his freedom.
