THE TRANSFIGURATION OF THE LORD

It is widely believed that on the day of Transfiguration the weather begins a transformation. This means that the waters of springs and rivers become colder and unsuitable for bathing. The days and nights get colder as well.

There is a superstitious belief which claims that on the eve of the holiday, the sky opens up and the Lord appears. One can wish for anything, and dreams always come true.
