ST. CHARALAMBOS
The church glorifies the name of St. Haralambos the Wonderworker, who helped people by healing their diseases and wounds. It is believed that the plague, born on the winter day of St. Athanasius, was captured by St. Charalambos and chained.
On this day, apart from not doing any work, women also avoid touching wool, because it is believed that the plague hides in the wool
