100 Kaba bagpipe
Orchestra "100 Kaba bagpipes" was established in 1961 in Smolyan, with chief organizer and conductor Apostol Kisov, after 1965 and with concertmaster Anastas Ivanov (Bai Tasso). He counted over 100 participants from the Middle Rhodopes aged 40 to 75 years. After many years of activity to Trade Union House of Culture in the town of Smolyan, since 1992 the orchestra continues its activity to Chitalishte "Orpheus Forests" in Smolyan district Raykovo.
The first bright performance of the orchestra was at the opening of the folk festival - singing "Rozhen-61". From then dates the tradition of all "Rozhen" fairs of folk art to be revealed
with performances of 100 Kaba bagpipes, transforming into an emblem of Rhodope folklore. After his orchestra began active concert activities in the country and toured in
Hungary, Russia, and the Czech Republic, where he brings many awards and distinctions.
The name of the orchestra is a trademark with a patent from 2013.
